RubberCover rebranding

Firestone Building Products

As part of Bridgestone Corporation, the world’s largest tire and rubber company, Firestone Building Products has become a global leading manufacturer of rubber based roofing and lining systems for a wide variety of industrial, commercial and residential applications. RubberCover is Firestone’s main solution within residential roofing systems. Mid 2017 Firestone approached Vintage with the request to look into the complete rebranding of RubberCover.

A fresh look & feel

The rebranding excercise started out with determining the target audience: in this case the professional installer, the home owner being a secondary target. Key benefits were ease of application, durability and premium quality. The concept Vintage linked to the rebranding was: No trouble! Building on this, Vintage proposed a number of marketing tools: a brochure, flyer, pocket guide, banners, countertop display etc. The main message came back throughout the mix: RubberCover is trouble-free. To support the campaign, Vintage conducted a photo shooting which resulted in powerful imagery which was used in multiple tools.
