Vintage & Showpad: continuous innovation to answer new challenges

Did you know that Vintage Productions is a certified and award-winning Showpad Solution Partner? We have been providing multinationals with Showpad-compatible content for many years now. Ranging from attractive launch presentations to state-of-the-art 3D virtualisations, Vintage can meet every client’s request for value-added content that is 100% compatible with this renowned sales enablement platform. Vintage’s Showpad experts, Ellen De Rijck and Maarten Huybrighs, tell us how the collaboration started and evolved to the innovative projects that represent Vintage today.

Looking back, we first came into contact with Showpad through one of our clients, Atlas Copco,” says Ellen. “Our clients are constantly in search of interesting new means to talk about their products. Often the client is the one who motivates both us and Showpad to find new ways of challenging the platform. Atlas Copco has been a pioneer in that respect, always making use of the latest technologies.”

For Atlas Copco, we have built numerous applications such as 360° view apps, calculators, virtual reality apps and digital brochures. “They all shared the single purpose of delivering product information to salespeople in the most user-friendly way possible,” continues Ellen. “As a result, we won our first two Showpad SAM Excellence Awards in 2017: the ‘Most Creative Graphical Experience’ award for the Beacon Medaes virtual hospital and the ‘Taking Customer Experience to the Next Level’ award for the Atlas Copco VR app.”

Virtual store

Needless to say, these two awards were a recognition of our hard work and continuous innovation. At the same time, they were a strong motivating factor for Vintage to stay ahead and focus even more on the future of 3D and interactive apps. Ellen explains: “In the meantime, we have added many more nice Experience apps to our portfolio. For instance, the Interactive City app for Knauf Insulation, which starts from a 3D city view, zooms in to the different buildings and presents the Knauf products. And the Virtual Innovation Store for Cegid, which shows Cegid’s retail and home shopping solutions in a store recreated in 3D by Vintage. For this app, we won a SAM award at the Showpad Transform event last year in London.”

‘A positive impact of mature sales enablement’

Breakthrough technology

At Transform 2019, Vintage not only had a booth but also a speaker slot in a breakout session with the theme: ‘A positive impact of mature sales enablement’. Together with our client Desotec, Vintage’s Commtech Director Maarten Huybrighs presented an exceptional Experience app as a flagship of fully-fledged integration and customer-centricity. “New ideas mean that developers are challenged to make these ideas come true,” says Maarten. “We are constantly in close contact with Showpad to get the most out of the platform. Using their SDK (Software Development Kit), we create powerful integrations between our apps, Showpad and third-party applications like Salesforce. The Desotec app is a perfect example. It presents content in a market-specific way and enables the client to prepare budget estimates, send assets and store prospect and client information directly in Salesforce.”

“Our Showpad partnership works in two ways: We often provide new ideas and suggestions to Showpad and, should we need help, Showpad’s support team is always there, answering extremely fast, often literally within minutes. Because of our partnership, Vintage also gets access to new features before they are rolled out to the public. This means we can already work out ideas on how they can benefit our clients.”
